First Devlog

Hello!!

Welcome to our first Devlog, we are CheckDev Studios, two uni students making our first game ever. 

Chess Boxing is a game about, well... Chess and Boxing, taking inspiration from the sport with the same name.  Chess Boxing will be a mix of an arcade 2D fighting game and a chess match. Our objective is making a game that provides a frenectic and fun experience to play with friends, making sure you have a great time even if you are not an expert in fighting games or in chess. 

In this game you will be constantly changing from phase (by a timer) between a fighting game and a chess match, to win the game you must win one of the two, either by checkmate or K.O. To make this a more entertaining experience there will be different buffs that you earn in each phase that will affect the other one, for example, if you move your pawn to certain square, you will gain more attack damage in the fighting phase.
We will be constantly updating our game, giving info on each change in future Devlogs.
